Behind the Sparkle: What It’s Like to Care for the Home You Love

Hello! I’m Anne, owner of Bluffview Cleaning Service. If you’re reading this, maybe you’re already part of the Bluffview family, or maybe you’re just getting to know us. Either way, I thought I’d share what a typical day looks like for me, not just as a cleaning professional, but as someone who genuinely cares about the people (and pets!) I serve.

7:00 AM – Diet Coke, Calm, and a Quick Game Plan

The day starts early at my house, but not with coffee like most folks. Nope, I’m a proud Diet Coke-in-the-morning kind of gal. Cold, fizzy, and straight from the fridge. Judge if you must, but it gets the job done!

After that first glorious sip, I check the day’s appointments, scratch my cat behind the ears and rub her belly as she stretches out on her back on my bed, and mentally gear up for the day ahead.

I’m not just preparing to clean homes, I’m preparing to step into people’s lives. Your home is your sanctuary, and I never forget that.

8:00 AM – First Stop: A Growing Family’s Nest

First stop: a sweet bungalow that belongs to a young family with two energetic toddlers. Toys under the couch? Check. Crumbs in the corners? Oh, absolutely. But I love this stage of life, it’s a beautiful kind of chaos.

Every detail matters here. Whether I’m cleaning the toothpaste out of the sink or restoring order to the inside of the microwave (we’ve all been there), it’s about helping create a space where this family can take a deep breath and just be.

11:00 AM – Second Home: The Empty Nester’s Retreat

Next up is a quiet, sun-filled home belonging to a lovely couple who recently became empty nesters. The silence in their house tells stories of years gone by, of kids raised and memories made.

They always greet me with garden updates or the latest grandbaby news, and I genuinely look forward to those little chats. At their home, I take extra care to dry mop and clean their wood floors and dust their dainty hurricane lamps just the way they like them. It’s the little things that say “we care.”

2:00 PM – Quick Break and Lunch in the Car

Here’s the real behind-the-scenes scoop: lunch usually looks like a turkey and cheese sandwich eaten in the car and maybe a yogurt, if I’m lucky. No glamour, just good ol’ practicality.

And yes, you guessed it, I crack open another Diet Coke (don’t worry, I’m aware it might be an addiction, but we’re not ready to talk about that yet). I check messages from clients, touch base with my husband (he always makes me laugh), and maybe send a quick text to one of my four children or answer a phone call from one of my two grandchildren. We all need a moment to breathe, recharge, and reset.

2:30 PM – Final Visit: A New Client

This visit is extra special, it’s a new client who just moved into town, referred by a local realtor. I know how personal it is to invite someone new into your home, so I arrive with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a heart ready to serve.

As I move through their new space, I can already see where we’ll make a difference. I want Bluffview to be more than a cleaning service, I want us to be part of their new beginning.

5:30 PM – Home Again, Full Heart

When I walk back through my own front door, I’m tired, but it’s the good kind of tired. My day may have been filled with vacuums, cleaning products, and a lot of elbow grease, but it’s also been full of connection, care, and commitment.

Every home has a heartbeat. Every family has a rhythm. And my job? It’s to respect that, protect that, and leave a little sparkle behind, both literally and figuratively.

Why I Do What I Do

I started Bluffview Cleaning Service not just because I love a clean home (though I truly do), but because I believe everyone deserves a space that feels peaceful, healthy, and loved.

It’s not about perfection, it’s about presence. It’s about walking into a room and feeling like you can finally exhale.

So, from my home to yours, thank you for trusting me. Thank you for letting me be part of your everyday life. And if we haven’t met yet, I hope we will soon. Just don’t be surprised if I show up with a Diet Coke. 😉

We are currently open for One Time Cleans, and Move in/Move out Cleans. Call us today to schedule an appointment!
